Hi, I’m Andreea, and though I help other business owners write killer about pages, I find it very difficult to do this for myself. It’s probably because I’m an introvert. Hard-core, “staring at my phone until it stops ringing” type of introvert. I’m joking; my phone’s been on silent since 1999.
I’m an ex computer geek, turned Yoga teacher, studio owner, high performance coach, and now, writer. (But can you really stop being a geek? Probably not.)
I spent the first 10 years of my career as a Quality Assurance Engineer, working for tech giants like Intel, Microsoft, or Amazon. I built and led high-performing teams, making sure our clients got products that actually worked.
I still remember the feeling of pushing the button that launched Amazon Prime Video in several new countries. Millions of people were about to use something my team had helped make happen.
In my last software job, I had the opportunity to improve the product quality and the experience of professional athletes in leagues such as NHL, AHL, and the Premier League.
I wanted to have a bigger impact, and I wanted to see what I could build for myself.
While still employed, I grew my first successful small business: a fitness blog. I monetized it through affiliate marketing and a brand collaboration with adidas. Even after I stopped creating content for it, it continued to reach people and generate income for a few years.
I trained as a Yoga and Pilates teacher and offered my marketing skills to the studios where I was teaching. I learned how to run a brick-and-mortar business, combined my engineer brain with my growing business skills, and built an online Yoga membership.
And then came coaching.
I’ve been reading leadership and self-help books since my early 20s, and I was always drawn towards productivity. So naturally, I certified as a High Performance Coach, and worked with corporate professionals and business owners for 6 years - through workshops, programs, 1 to 1 coaching, talks, courses and eventually by publishing The Introvert Who Could.
But I realized that what was lighting me up wasn't delivering the workshops, though I loved that too. It was writing the sales pages for them.
I enjoyed delivering the talks, but loved writing them.
I never complained about creating social media content, and my favourite way to communicate with my people was through my weekly email.
I've been a reader for as long as I can remember, and bookstores are still one of my favourite places to be.
At 10 years old, I was creating my own magazines by glueing papers together. And I found out the truth about Santa when I discovered the books I got for Christmas in Mum's bag.
It took 3 different careers, countless courses, two pregnancies and one maternity leave to finally decide that I'm a writer. I'm here to share stories, share my knowledge, and help others tell their story too. 10-year-old me would be proud.
